Rask was the difference in game 2. Reimer was a bit shaky, and Rask was godly.
Hard to be disappointed with the effort level of the leafs so far, makes you wonder what they can accomplish once the young talent (Nylander,Marner,Kapanen) arrives

So what happens when Pasta and Vatrano are back? Who drops out? Randell? Rinaldo? Ferraro? Talbot? So many fringe guys and they just keep shuffling.

I (barely) watched the game on mute since stupid gamecenter had it blacked out to stream instead, so I didn't really notice Ferraro. My concern is moving Spooner to the wing on the third line almost solidifies Talbot as the 4th line center. But it seems like Claude likes Spooner on the wing. Marchand started out as a center didn't he? Maybe he should play third line center lol.

Ferraro is a natural center with PK abilities. I could see CJ using him on the 4th line more than Talbot as he's younger, speedier and has a better potential scoring touch than Talbot. we could see a 4th line of

Rinaldo-Ferraro-Randel or

Vtrano-Ferraro-Randel

I think Vtrano can move up and down depending on the teams needs. also I believe he can be sent back to Prov without needing to clear waivers. Same as Randel when pasta comes back. they have the luxury of some flexibility on the bottom 6 which is nice as Kemp can drop back down and play the middle on the 4th and Ferraro can line up on the wing (right handed shot).

Randel- Kempainnen- Ferraro

he was a 2nd round pick from the red wings who are known for the good development of talent, so I'm hoping ferraro turns out to be a steal. CJ just needs to keep some lines together and develop some chemistry.

no matter where we stand I think the B's make some moves prior to the TD to help the D squad a bit. we have eriksson who could be moved (not sure where negotiations on contract is at this point) or Connolly if a team is looking for a young RW....

I guess only time will tell.....

Ok, good then Ferraro solves that as far as I'm concerned. With everyone healthy (excluding Kelly) I'd like to see:

Eriksson Krejci Vatrano
Marchand Bergeron Hayes
Pasta Kempannen Spooner
Belesky Ferraro Connolly

Although I don't believe Kemp deserves third line minutes, I'd like to see what happens. And if Vatrano isn't the real deal, (which he is, duh) then Connolly can jump in.

Kids a superstar already haha

That Pasta Kemp Spooner line would seem interesting especially after the chemistry Pasta and Spooner had last year with Lucic

We are seriously deep at forward right now. Thats legitimately 12 top 9 fwds, not to mention Koko, Griffeth. Czarnik... We're not keeping Eriksson

Keep Eriksson, resign under 6 million for 4-5 years. We have the money for it next season for sure. Then see how the kids continue to play. If they continue to perform above expectation, stick with them and let Marchand walk. If they are not up to standard, keep Marchy around. This will also let us continue to evaluate Hayes and Spooner and Connolly. And they will potentially be off the books for those other budding stars in a couple years. I think they are in good shape for the future. The pieces we want locked up (other than possibly McQuaid) are.

Am I the only one missing how Vatrano is a fixture in this lineup? Send him back down to the AHL with Talbot when Pasta gets back

Marchand - Bergy - Hayes
Eriksson - Krejci - Beleskey
Pasta - Spooner - Connolly
Rinaldo - Kempainnen - Ferraro
Randell
